Terms of service
Last updated 7 August 2026
These terms govern your use of the EasyTrip app and this website. By creating an account you agree to them. If you do not, please do not use the service.
1. What EasyTrip is — and is not
EasyTrip is a carpooling platform. We put people who are already driving between cities in touch with people who want a seat in that car, so the cost of the journey can be shared.
We are not a taxi, ride-hailing or public transport operator. We do not own vehicles, we do not employ drivers, and we do not carry passengers. Drivers are independent individuals making their own journeys. The contract for any given trip is between the rider and the driver; EasyTrip's role is to introduce them and to provide the tools they use to arrange it.
2. Eligibility
- You must be at least 18 years old.
- You must have a valid Pakistani mobile number, which is how you sign in.
- You must give accurate information and keep it up to date.
- One account per person. Accounts may not be shared, sold or transferred.
3. Drivers
To publish rides or bid on whole-car requests you must first be approved. You agree that:
- You hold a valid driving licence and the vehicle is legally registered, roadworthy and insured as required by Pakistani law.
- The documents and photographs you submit are genuine, current, and of the vehicle you will actually drive.
- You will drive the vehicle shown on the ride, or update your vehicle details in the app before the trip if it changes.
- You will not use EasyTrip to operate a commercial passenger transport business. Fares are intended to share the cost of a journey you were making anyway.
- You will honour the price you published. Asking for more than the published fare, or for payment before the trip is completed, is grounds for removal.
- You are responsible for your own taxes and for complying with any licensing rules that apply to you.
Approval is a one-time manual review. We may withdraw it at any time if your documents lapse, if reports are made about you, or if you breach these terms.
4. Riders
- Only book seats you intend to use, and cancel as early as you can if plans change.
- Be at the pickup point you selected, at the agreed time.
- Pay the driver the published fare, in cash, at the end of the trip. The amount is shown before you request the booking and does not change.
- Treat the driver, the vehicle and other passengers with respect.
5. Fares, commission and the driver wallet
- Fares are cash, paid by the rider directly to the driver at the end of the trip. EasyTrip does not collect, hold or process fares, and takes no cut of them.
- Commission. A driver's first 5 completed rides are free of commission. After that, EasyTrip charges 8% of each completed booking. Commission is charged when the ride is marked complete.
- The wallet is a driver-only commission account. It is not a payment method for riders and it does not hold fare money. Once the free rides are used, a driver needs a balance of at least Rs 100 to publish a new ride or place an offer.
- Top-ups are settled manually: you send the amount to a destination shown in the app and submit the transaction reference, which we verify before crediting.
- Referrals. When someone signs up with your code and is approved as a driver, Rs 300 is credited to each of you. Self-referrals, duplicate accounts and any other attempt to game this will be reversed and may cost you your account.
- Wallet balances are for commission only. They are not redeemable for cash and are not withdrawable.
- We may change commission rates, the number of free rides or the minimum balance. We will tell you in the app before a change takes effect.
6. Cancellations
Either side may cancel before a trip begins. A cancelled booking releases the seat back to the ride, and everyone affected is notified. Because no money changes hands before the trip, there is nothing to refund. Repeated late cancellations damage your rating and may lead to suspension.
A ride left open long after its departure time is closed automatically so that histories and earnings stay accurate.
7. Conduct
You must not:
- Harass, threaten, discriminate against or endanger anyone.
- Drive under the influence of alcohol or drugs, or while unfit to drive.
- Carry anything illegal, or use the service to transport goods commercially.
- Impersonate anyone, or use another person's documents or vehicle.
- Move the transaction off-platform to avoid commission, ratings or accountability.
- Post false ride listings, fake reviews or manipulate ratings.
- Attempt to scrape, reverse-engineer, overload or interfere with the service.
8. Ratings and reviews
Ratings must reflect a real trip you took part in. We may remove reviews that are abusive, off-topic or fraudulent. We do not remove reviews simply because they are negative.
9. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or permanently remove an account that breaches these terms, that is the subject of credible safety reports, or where the documents supplied turn out to be false. Where it is safe and lawful to do so, we will tell you why. You may delete your own account at any time from Settings.
10. Liability
EasyTrip provides a platform for people to arrange shared journeys. We do not supervise trips, verify driving ability beyond documents, or inspect vehicles. To the fullest extent permitted by Pakistani law:
- Each trip is undertaken between the rider and the driver at their own risk, and any dispute about a trip is between them.
- We are not liable for accidents, injury, loss, delay, property damage or the conduct of any user.
- The service is provided "as is". Features that depend on third parties — maps, directions, push notifications, voice calls, SMS delivery — may be unavailable at times.
- Live tracking is a convenience, not a safety system. It requires the driver's phone to be on, in the app, and connected. Do not rely on it in an emergency — contact the authorities.
Nothing here excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
11. Insurance
Drivers are responsible for holding whatever insurance the law requires for their vehicle and for carrying passengers. EasyTrip does not provide insurance of any kind.
12. Privacy
How we handle your information is set out in ourprivacy policy, which forms part of these terms.
13. Changes
We may update these terms. The date at the top of this page shows the current version, and material changes will be announced in the app. Continuing to use EasyTrip after a change means you accept it.
14. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, and the courts of Pakistan have jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.
